FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASESAGINAW, MI (June 30, 2011) – GlobalWatt today announced it has obtained the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) solar module and plant certification for its production operations in Saginaw. The UL label will now be affixed to all GlobalWatt products.
"This is most important endorsement for our new solar products because it provides assurance of safe products to consumers globally through US testing, certification and follow up audits," according to Len Griffin, GlobalWatt's Chief Operating Officer. "We remain on schedule to build a new Michigan Solar Valley here and lead the revitalization of the Saginaw area by manufacturing and delivering state-of-the-art renewable energy products and applications."
Griffin added that GlobalWatt is focused on the production and advancement of solar power for both fixed and mobile applications. The company offers multiple lines of PV products including mobile solar power generators used in various markets such as emergency, disaster, construction and recreation. GlobalWatt products also include solar panels made with manufacturing partners assembled and tested in Michigan.
